Dr Koh Hock Kiat
Dr. Koh Hock Kiat is currently the founder and CEO of Singapore XIANG Institute. He was the founding director of the Confucius Institute at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, the Chinese tutor of the former Prime Minister of Singapore, Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, the member of the evaluation panel committee of the Lee Kuan Yew Fund for bilingualism, and the former advisory professor of Zhejiang University.
Dr. Koh had won the Nanyang Technological University Outstanding Professor Award, the Singapore National Institute of Education Outstanding Professor Award, the Confucius Institute Headquarters Outstanding Dean Award, and the Confucius Institute of the Year Dean Award, etc. He had also planned a number of large-scale Asian forums and seminars, which include the Joint Conference of Confucius Institutes in Asia, the Global Confucius Institute Forum, etc. He also published a series of books on business philosophy, Confucianism and Chinese culture and language.
Dr. Koh was hired as a senior consultant of the ASEAN-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a Confucian business mentor at the Boao Forum for Asia. He conducts intensive research on the ancident Chinese civilization governance ideology, business philosophy, 360 innovation management and family business governance and inheritance. Dr. Koh is a Swedish certified innovation execution professional. He is involved in consultancy work in corporate education, training and coaching, etc. With a vast academic background, practical experience and entrepreneurial spirit, coupled with a firm belief in corporate management philosophy and innovative idealogy, Dr. Koh is actively promoting corporate management philosophy and self-management. Dato Poh is a Singaporean businessman and investor. His investment business is diversified, including leisure business, real estate, resource exploration, spring water resources, etc. Dato Poh is the sponsor of Singapore XIANG Institute and co-founded with Dr. Koh Hock Kiat. Together with other entrepreneurs, professors and professionals, they aim to create a first-class Asian entrepreneurial governance culture platform.
COO of XIANG Institute
Ben Chua Beng Hwee
Mr. Chua is currently the COO of Singapore XIANG Institute. His duties include handling of administrative work, organizing courses and handling external publicity activities. Prior to this, Ben also served as the project and product manager of other companies.
Ben received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Nanyang Technological University. He majored in computer engineering and digital media technology. His interests include reading historical and cultural publications about East Asia.
